Shavuot

The Festival of Weeks is an opportunity for us to celebrate the receiving of the Torah at Mount Sinai… and to eat wonderful dairy foods! Our Shavuot celebration begins with a Tikkun Leil Shavuot, usually held jointly with other synagogues.

Our morning Yom Tov services include the recitation of the Ten Commandments, during which we all stand so that we, too, are receiving them personally. At the conclusion of the morning service, we hold a Yizkor service.
