At TBAY, we begin the High Holiday season with Rosh Chodesh Elul, the first day of the month of Elul, ushering in a month of learning and contemplation and preparation.
We offer educational programs culminating with a special S’licot program and service on the Saturday night one week before Rosh Hashanah, which we co-sponsor with the Union County Va’ad haRabbanim (Board of Rabbis).
We sound the shofar each morning at daily minyan and chant the Psalm for the Season of Repentance.
As we gather for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, the sounds and special melodies of the holidays surround us. Our services are led by Rabbi Finkelstein and our special High Holidays Cantorial Soloist Lawrence Indik, and have extensive participation by adult and youth members of the TBAY community.
We host a full set of services in-person both days of Rosh Hashanah, including full traditional main services, interactive and abbreviated family morning services, afternoon/evening services, and Tashlich at local Briant Park in Springfield. Our afternoon family service on the second day of Rosh Hashanah is free and open to the community. On Yom Kippur, Kol Nidre, Mincha and Ne’ilah join the mix to create a shared sacred space for our individual journeys toward repentance. All of our services are also on Zoom for those who prefer to attend remotely.
All Services are in Person at TBAY and will also be available online via YouTube Live Stream.
