Shalom TBAY!

Wondering what we discussed this past Shabbat? On Friday night, our Women’s League volunteers led a wonderful Kabbalat Shabbat service. Many thanks to Genya Mallach and Leslie Adler for organizing it! Thank you to the many people who participated: Leslie Adler, Esther Avnet, Susan Blanco, Lesley Brooks, Barbara Eglow, Paula Gerber, Leslie Glass, Lisa Glass, Melissa Goldstein, Helen Jenys, Jane Lakritz, Caren Manders, Michelle Manders, April Modlinger, Debbie Rogut, Pearl Scherzer, Ilene Shewitz, Susan Teller, and Andrea Wohl. April Modlinger delivered a powerful and informative D’Var Torah on the history and value of Women’s League, which I will post here shortly.

On Saturday, at Shabbat Mishpacha, we discussed the Holiness Code. We each answered the question, if we had to choose ONE of the laws that make us holy, which would it be?

Tomorrow night, Monday, at 7:45 p.m., we will have our annual Yom HaZikaron/Yom Ha’Atzma’ut service. This is a brief Mincha/Ma’ariv service on Zoom in which we commemorate and remember those that have fallen in creating and protecting the State of Israel, and then celebrate the anniversary of the creation of the country. I hope you will join us. Details are in your Shabbat Preview.

Shavua Tov!
