Shabbat Shalom!

Torah Question of the Week: What qualities do you think are important in someone to whom you are delegating an important responsibility? If you ask someone to help you find that person, do you need to specify all those qualities? In this week’s Torah portion, Yitro tells Moses to find capable individuals who fear God, are trustworthy, and who spurn ill-gotten gain. Moses is then described as finding capable individuals. When are character traits assumed to be present? Have you found that to be accurate?

Please join us for Shabbat Services this week! We have our annual Scout Shabbat, in which we honor our local scouts, on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. Services will be preceded by a celebratory dinner in honor of the Centennial of Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest. The D’var Torah will be delivered by Dov Ben Shimon, Federation’s CEO, as we will have a Celebratory Oneg after services, including birthday cake!

Saturday morning we return to our regular Shabbat services at 9:30 a.m. Both are multi-access – in person and on Zoom. Details are in your Shabbat Preview.

Shabbat Shalom!
