Torah Question of the Week: When you have a special item, where do you store it? Do you keep it in a beautiful case? Is the case practical as well? In this week’s Torah portion, the Israelites are instructed on how to build the Aron haEdut, the Ark of the Covenant, into which the tablets of the Ten Commandments are to be placed. The Ark is overlaid with pure gold—inside and out—with a gold molding. The rings into which the poles for carrying it are built in, making it both beautiful and practical. How do you store your most precious possessions?
