Wondering what we discussed this past Shabbat? Instead of a D’Var Torah, at Shabbat Alive Services on Friday night, we had a wonderful Siddur Presentation and Naming Ceremony for our 3rd and 4th graders. On Saturday, we discussed the name of Isaac. Why did God determine that Yitzchak should be his name? What does the work Yitzchak – “He will laugh” – mean for Isaac the person and for Isaac the patriarch? What does it mean for his parents? What do you think? Here is a link to the Source Sheet.
