Shabbat Shalom!

Torah Question of the Week: Have you ever received a gift you thought was more trouble than it was worth? In this week’s Torah portion, Moses sends one leader from each of the twelve tribes of Israel to scout out the land of Israel. When they return, they all agree it is a good land, but ten say it would be too hard to take and two (Caleb and Joshua) say the Israelites can do it. The Israelites listen to the ten, with dire consequences – not being allowed to enter the land. Were you ever ungrateful for a gift? What happened?

This weekend we celebrate the Bat Mitzvah of Emma Blank as she helps lead our services and is called to the Torah for the first time. Tonight’s Kabbalat Shabbat service is at 8:00 p.m. and tomorrow’s Shabbat Morning service begins at 9:30 a.m. Both services are multi-access: in person and on Zoom.  To register to come in person, please go to https://tinyurl.com/TBAY-Shabbat. The Zoom links can be found in the Shabbat Preview.
