Shabbat Shalom!

Torah Question of the Week: If something stops working or looks suspicious in your home, what do you do? Do you try to fix it yourself? At what point do you call in an expert to see what is wrong? In this week’s Torah portion, upon seeing something seeming to grow on the walls, the owner of a house is commanded to tell the priest that “Something like a plague has appeared upon my house.” He does not diagnose it and declare it impure; he waits for the priest to make the determination. What is the value of calling an expert in before trying to fix something in our homes ourselves?

This weekend we celebrate the Bar Mitzvah of Jacob Rosenfeld as he helps lead our services and is called to the Torah for the first time. Tonight’s Kabbalat Shabbat service is at 8:00 p.m. and tomorrow’s Shabbat Morning service begins at 9:30 a.m. Both services are multi-access: in person and on Zoom.  To register to come in person, please go to https://tinyurl.com/TBAY-Shabbat. The Zoom links can be found in the Shabbat Preview.
