On Saturday, we discussed the punishment for violating Shabbat – death! We discussed whether the punishment fit the crime or not and how much intentionality matters. We also discussed that this is perhaps not literal – that not having Shabbat might mean that one will die earlier or that life is less full and that is a kind of dying. What do you think?
