Torah Question of the Week: Have you ever felt you were between a rock and a hard place? How did you react? In this week’s Torah portion, the Israelites become trapped between Pharaoh’s army and the sea. Midrash and Talmud tell us that the Israelites were reluctant to go into the sea and arguing amongst themselves – and Nachshon ben Aminadav jumped into the waters and walked forward until the sea was up to his head. It was only after that the waters parted and the Israelites were saved, In what way do you take a brave step forward when you feel trapped?
