Torah Question of the Week: Do you introduce yourself differently to different people? In this week’s Torah portion, Moses is told that God self-revealed to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, but only as El-Shaddai, not as Adonai. Our sages determined that this meant that elements of God’s being were not revealed until the Israelites’ redemption. How do you express yourself when you meet someone new? Do you think consciously of what aspects of yourself you want to reveal?
