Torah Question of the Week: Have you ever said to someone, “You just don’t understand”? Have you found that you can interpret statements completely differently from someone else? In this week’s Torah portion, after trying to build a tower up to the Heavens, God confounded their speech, so they could not understand one another (usually interpreted as different languages). Do you think speech and understanding can be confounded, even if you are speaking the same language?
