Wondering what we discussed this past Shabbat? Here is a link to Friday Night’s D’Var Torah: Remembering and Keeping Shabbat.
On Saturday, we discussed Moses’ admonition to neither add to nor subtract from the mitzvot of the Torah. We thought about what that means with regard to the many rabbinical decrees, both from Talmudic times and since then. Did the Torah really mean stick to the 613? Did it refer only to the laws against idolatry or the punishments? What do you think? Here is a link to the Source Sheet.
