Shalom TBAY!
Wondering what we discussed this past Shabbat? Here is a link to Friday Night’s D’Var Torah: Accepting Responsibility Instead of Shifting the Blame.
On Saturday, we discussed the choosing of the judges over the people. We noted that the description in Exodus is different than in Deuteronomy: In Exodus, his father-in-law Jethro tells Moses to appoint judges over the people, and in Deuteronomy, Moses says that he told the people to choose their judges (and never mentions Jethro)? Why the difference? And does the difference matter? What do you think? Here is a link to the Source Sheet.
