Wondering what we discussed this past Shabbat? Here is a link to Friday Night’s D’Var Torah: Disposable Bags and the Sh’mita Year.
On Saturday, we discussed the opening of Parashat B’har – “at Mount Sinai”. We pondered why the Torah drew us back to Sinai for the specific commandments relating to the land. Was it because the land of Israel is different and so important? Is it because there is greater detail here than when Sh’mita, the sabbatical for the land, was first discussed? What do you think?
