On Saturday, we discussed the prohibition against priests performing Temple service after having consumed wine. Was the prohibition only against intoxication through wine or from any alcohol? Was it only for performing the service itself or does the verse intend that the priests should not become intoxicated at all? And what was the purpose of the prohibition? What do you think?
