On Saturday, we discussed Esau’s reaction to Jacob at their first meeting after 20 years. Was his kiss planned or spontaneous… or was it the opposite of what he had intended to do? Had he intended to bite him, as some commentators have suggested? Why are there dots over the word for kiss? Was it to indicate that the kiss was real or to indicate that is was not?
