L’Shanah Tovah!!

Posted on September 6, 2021

Dear TBAY Members and Friends:

L’Shanah Tovah!

High Holy Day Video Greeting:

Here we are, at the cusp of a new year once again. This is a season of returns and, this year, many of us yearn to return to the world before COVID hit. Alas, that is yet to be. But we are still returning – to school, to work, to synagogue, even if some of these things continue to be online instead of IRL (“In Real Life” for those of us from an older era before texting and acronyms were so prevalent).

Our High Holy Days invite us to return to our center, the core of our being. They invite us to return to the Jewish values and traditions we hold so dear. They invite us to return to the safe harbor of our liturgy – the prayers, words and music that are part of the foundation of our lives. And they invite us to return to the Jewish rhythms of Shabbat, festivals and holidays. They invite us to return to who we truly want to be. May we all answer this invitation in the affirmative.

Hashiveinu Adonai eilecha v’nashuvah.  Chadeish yameinu k’kedem.

Return us to you, Eternal One, and we shall return.  Renew our days, as of old.

L’shanah Tovah Tikateivu V’Teichateimu.

May you be inscribed and sealed in the Book of Life for a good and sweet year.
