Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat Greetings:

Torah Question of the Week: What are some of your guiding principles? What related actions do you take to make sure you live by them? This Torah portion teaches us that there are many ways to fulfil a commandment. For example, we are told not to murder, but K’doshim takes it further, telling us not to stand by when another is in danger and not to slander and not to take revenge. When we say we are trustworthy or honorable or caring, what does that imply for how we live our lives? Our actions matter. What actions will you take today?

Kabbalat Shabbat will be tonight at 8:00 p.m. and it is Women’s League Shabbat! Many members of Women’s League will be leading the service, including Paula Gerber, Ilene Shewitz, Pearl Scherzer, Lea Karpman, Lois Kaish, Debbie Nadel, Caren Manders, Barara Eglow, Susan Wohlgemuth, Julie Scherzer, Esther Avnet, Susan Teller, Andrew Wohl, Helen Jenys, Genya Mallach, Nancy Rajs, Jackie Schuyler, Arlette Cohen and April Modlinger.
