On Shabbat morning, we discussed siding with the mighty to do wrong and what that prohibition means. You can find the Source Sheet here.
Some questions we considered were: Does the text mean the mighty or the majority? (Of course the rabbis and commentators disagree!) What are the consequences of siding with the mighty to do evil? How about siding with the mighty against our convictions? Should this only apply in judicial proceedings or throughout our lives in all of our actions/decisions? What are the implications? What do you think?
